Inner Garden to be released on October 9th!
I'm so happy to announce that "Inner Garden", my next record with one of my favorite ensembles in the world; Yarn/Wire will be released on October 9th via New Amsterdam Records. Deep thanks and Love to Ning Yu, Laura Barger, Ian Antonio, and Russell Greenberg for their generosity to this music. It was a real honor to work so closely with them and I can't wait to share the piece with everyone! Very grateful to Owen Schuh for the beautiful cover artwork.

New solo work
Tomorrow night at the Yellow Barn Music Festival I will be premiering a new original work for solo tenor saxophone entitled The Obvious Place. Also on the program are works by Amy Beth Kristen, Toshio Hokosowa, and Franz Schubert. The concert features my friends Eduardo Leandro, Ayano Kataoka, Lizzie Burns, and more! I'm honored to be in such company. The concert is free and will stream on www.yellowbarn.org at 7:30pm EST and also a rebroadcast will air on Sunday at 2pm EST.
Residency @ Nasher Sculpture Center
I am very much looking forward to my upcoming residency at the amazing Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, TX. I'll be there for a week and will present solo concerts in the museum on Feb. 20th, 21st, and 22nd. More info can be found here.

Skanu Mezs Festival
Subtle Degrees (duo with Gerald Cleaver) will be at this year's Skanu Mezs Festival in Riga, Latvia on October 5th. Very Happy to be sharing the bill with the amazing Circuit Des Yeux from Chicago.

Lucerne Festival Premiere Date Announced

Inner Garden
I am thrilled to have been invited to compose for and perform alongside one of my favorite current ensembles: Yarn/Wire. I've been a big fan of Yarn/Wire for years so getting to work with them is a real honor for me. Yarn/Wire is Laura Barger (piano), Ning Yu (Piano), Ian Antonio (percussion), and Russell Greenberg (percussion). Inner Garden is the title of the long-form piece that I wrote for us and we will perform it twice in the coming months; on February 2nd at The Stone @ The New School in NYC and on May 21st @ Roulette in Brooklyn, NY.
